@neilk Googling for a page you don't already know exists is mostly dead now. Fortunately agents do more thorough searches than I used to, and know more synonyms than I do, so the net is that existence-or-nonexistence results are mostly more reliable now than they were in the Google days

When Apple Intelligence first rolled out in 2024, I had to turn off the Priority Notifications feature because of poor reasoning.

But trying it now, after all the advancements we’ve seen since then, you can see they’ve really dialed in what is urgent

I'm back on the Arc browser, which is mostly great, but I've noticed it doesn't do paint holding (https://developer.chrome.com/blog/paint-holding). Every other browser nowadays will hold same-origin navigations to prevent a flicker on navigation on static sites, but oddly Arc flashes the background color.

I filed a bug – for a UX nit in a deprecated browser, so it will likely go unfixed. But Atlassian’s CEO uses Arc as far as I can tell? So who knows

@cube_drone There is an art to taking oatmeal, the trademark healthy breakfast, and adding every calorie dense topping imaginable. Should you pick raisins, seeds, nuts, or maple syrup? Yes
@tom Yeah looks like it's not live yet – cool to see progress on this!
@tom Interesting! I'm still seeing 1600ms main-thread-blocking Layout to display a single Noto Color Emoji heart in desktop Safari (26.3). Is that expected?
@tom Interesting to hear, thanks Tom!
@drott Interesting – weirdly in my own test 🧺 and 🫠 do not trigger the bug at all, laying out in 0.2ms whereas ❤️ and 🤯 take about 1550ms. It seems there's a technique used in the heart glyph that triggers a bad path in Safari that not all glyphs use.
