Like, seriously, look at this thing. Ain't it pretty?
There we go. This took a bit longer than expected, but a bit over an hour knowing that I'm completely out of practice is okay. It was relaxing to have a cup of tea and cookies on the side while #soldering — testing another day, I want to make sure this is safe to plug to my #MSX before using it.

Ooooof, my ugliest job ever, and just realized one of the diodes is connected backwards

I'll redo this some other day.

Too long, no soldering. Today I started making a Joymega adaptor for my #MSX and felt very rusty with the soldering iron. Luckily these are quite easy to make: https://frs.badcoffee.info/hardware/joymega-en.html

Have you gotten the new Firefox already? Not sure if this is GNOME Shell, GPU drivers, or Firefox itself to blame. The same version works fine on another computers that has a different GPU and runs the Labwc compositor (wlroots based).
Today in “#m68k, the architecture that refused to die”, here's a beauty shot of the 68060, which arrived a few days back. #retrocomputing
No idea why @WebKitGTK in one of my computers keeps rendering GitLab's font with terrible kerning, while on my other box it's just perfect. Both HiDPI with 2x scaling, both same distribution and software versions... Most likely it will end up being some #FontConfig shenanigans and that's why I don't really feel like investigating it. Any issue having to do with FontConfig is always a headache.
I forgot to share a picture running Vi for #MSX, which can be found here: https://fr3nd.github.io/msx-vi/

Happy #MaySiXth to everybody interested in #MSX computers. Here's my third hand Panasonic FS-A1WSX at the office, running through an ODV-GBS-C scan converter. Now that there's Vi for MSX-DOS, it can be used for productivity tasks as well!
And here's the features settings page I made for the @gnome Web browser: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/merge_requests/1323

Add a new preferences page which allows toggling development and experimental WebKit features, using new API [1] which available from 2.41.4 onwards. The features are grouped by their...
