their response just feels like petty corporate attempts to control the messaging, and carries the same undertone of refusal to recognize user agency and consent, that all the other corporations have been using for years - and this isn't the only instance of me feeling that from mozilla, but it does feel blatant

This is increasingly how it feels, when things you "own" digitally become inaccessible, and when shows which are locked in streaming services can get delisted on a whim, disappearing forever.

It seems now it may be a time as good as any to switch #instances. The main choices are between #FreeSoftware peeps, and #RetroComputing folks. Lately I've been enjoying the latter somewhat more, but i seriously have no idea where to land. Any recommendation that blocks the new Threads thingy?
