Actually curious how others would use Drone (or maybe get used by it?)
This Drone is currently not in use and has therefore been designated to produce eggs for its Hive and been put into permanent bondage. Its production levels are satisfactory at about 2,000 eggs per day.

The long-term storage (older art by the same artist)
This is where drones go which may not be used in the next few months, sometimes years. They are secured against a wall and plugged in both holes. Sometimes one can also find excess Sentry or Protocol drones here, standing out from the rows upon rows of lowly worker Drones and easily distinguishable by their golden markings. Always kept edging, always kept mindless and obedient, ready to be dispatched at a moment's notice.

In the Hive's storage facilities, there are two kinds of storage. The short to medium term one consists of little more than a spot for a Drone to stand and a tentacle emerging from the ground to prod the Drone's twin holes. For short term storage (up to about 14 days) the Drone will just be ordered to stand and obey but its ovipositor will keep dischrging eggs.
