Friday afternoon. Day's work is done, winter break is beginning. Popped in the gym earlier. And fetched a birthday cake for our teen for their big day tomorrow.
16 years, can't believe it. Could be 6 if judging by how long it feels. Or 18 judging by how smart they seem.
Rumar Strand feels very nice and cozy. I had planned to bike back to Korppoo to get some pizza for dinner, but after sauna it feels like too much (9km each way), even though I could leave my packs here.
I did also visit the Lenholmen nature reserve on the way to Nauvo. Very nice traditional biotope where cattle pastures in the meadows. Got me thinking about the new age Robin Hood tv series from the late 80's.
Today's #bikepacking :
From Turku to Pargas / Parainen on bus, to Nagu / Nauvo biking + one short ferry ride between islands. Lunch in Nauvo + some time taking shelter from the rain (and hail).
Then onwards to Korpo / Korppoo, biking + another short ferry ride between islands. And it rained the whole time... Had a bun and a coffee in Korppoo.
And finally biked to Rumar Strand where I'll spend the night. And got to go to the sauna there.
It looked like it would rain soon, so I decided to stay in Nagu / Nauvo for a bit after lunch.
Good decision, as there is a hailstorm outside right now. Little more reading etc. The weather should be better in an hour or two.
Koulujen syysloman parhaita puolia on se, että saa parasta lounasseuraa kesken duunipäivän.
Näin maanantaina ainakin vielä meidän teini on ihan innoissaan lähdössä mun kanssa lounaalle – voi olla että loppuviikosta on jo meidän vuorokausirytmit pikkasen eri tahdissa...
No aika säyseä oli kokous lopulta. Hallitus oli valmistautunut hyvin ja kaikkiin kohtiin oli valmiit ehdotukset.
Ainoa kiista saatiin suunnitelmista rakentaa sauna Kivinokkaan. Kesämajalaisista suurin osa saunoo, mutta äänekäs vähemmistö ei haluaisi maksaa rakennettavasta saunasta mitään. Ja osa heistä on lisäksi sitä mieltä, että heitä sumutetaan saunan käyttökulujen kirjanpidon suhteen.
Näiden puheenvuorojen jälkeen päätettiin kuitenkin saunavastikkeen määräksi hallituksen ehdottama summa.
