The #Caturday before Christmas and Rocky’s keeping an eye on the tree.
Had a lovely walk in Abbott's Wood (Sussex) this week.
And a few lacy knits. #fiberuary #texture.
I have one pattern I keep reusing in plains, variegated and self-patterning yarns. It’s a nice simple stitch but looks good.
Here are a few of my past baby/kids projects for #fiberuary #texture week.
And I love this triangle shawl pattern for using up leftover yarn. The ‘feathers’ make it a bit different #fiberuary
Some of the most colourful things I knit are with ‘leftover’ yarn in stripes. I enjoy choosing which colours to put together. #fiberuary
Although I don’t really like colour work I do sometimes try it. I keep getting tempted by Kaffe Fassett designs but can never carry them through. Here are a few attempts. #fiberuary
So here we go with #Fiberuary on the theme of colour.
I rediscovered my love of knitting in the covid lockdown and haven’t stopped since. I mostly do sweaters and like variegated or self-patterning yarns but sometimes do stripes and other colour work. So here are a few examples of one of my favourite stitches, a very simple but effective honeycomb. I’ve done several blankets in this for babies and with leftover yarn for my cats.
For #Caturday I give you Rocky trying to look like he’s within his rights while laying in Smudge’s favourite bed.
It’s a Yule #caturday
