Today—with many thousands of academic staff around UK—I am on strike as a part of the @ucu #ucuRising action, on the dire state of working conditions across the UK university sector.

While my own position (as a Professor) is relatively secure and well paid, this cannot be said for most colleagues across the University sector—especially casual and junior staff. This is a time for worker solidarity, because we’re all in this together.
