I got a 5-star review on Reverb once
@leoncowle 100s. Maar ek sien baie duur Android fone hier. Ek verstaan dis nie Apple se primêre mark nie. Street View is hier sedert 2010(?).
@caseyliss Data point: Afrikaans is a language spoken by Millions in South Africa. As is Xhosa and Zulu. Android have supported them for years? Apple? Nope. But they do support some “old” languages spoken by a few thousand.
So even Apple doesn’t get localisation right.
@coachmike66 @ebbi @fabienmarry @caseyliss oh maybe but I do about 5 different workout types so a default wouldn’t help. Good to know though!
@fabienmarry @caseyliss best I can describe: guess what happens if you tap on the weightlifting icon in the screenshot below? You start a weightlifting session, right? Wrong! It starts indoor cycle. Why? Because there is a play button there! No there isn’t? Oh yes there is. It just hasn’t rendered yet (see second pic a sec later). 💀
This gets me at least once a week. Maddening.
@leoncowle @caseyliss super surprised to see Subaru there. Maybe old prejudice but always thought they were fun but admin. We’re Team Honda, were Team Toyota, and can confirm reliability on both.
@caseyliss Uncheck “Include Self”? Bless you! Thank you.
@caseyliss to be clear, I don’t want you to be right. Imperial is goddamn annoying in engineering. But F is proven to be more human (humane?) than C. Sigh.
I remember someone once saying “if your thermostat is showing decimals, your units are dumb”
That might have been you?
@caseyliss @michaelgemar @jamesthomson Casey is right. I work in the building industry. Most thermostats that show C in hotels don’t do what they say cos most people actually want 73F (22.7C). 22C on the dial is actually 22.7. Cos 22 is too cold and 23 is too hot. People _think_ they want 22C.
I despise imperial slugs per pound foot or whatever, but Fahrenheit works better for people’s actual comfort.
@caseyliss (cos if you say they “rooted” them, then our Australian friends might have an opinion 😂)
