Is Experiential Development a Thing Yet?

I've worked on "distributed systems" "in the cloud" for a decade now and I'm still not sure if we can trust 'em.

Recently resigned a role as a technology lead on Cloud Foundry at VMware (née Pivotal). Now consulting on interesting deployment, packaging, delivery, and implementation problems as principal of Nonlinear Garden, LLC.

There is something particularly obscene about watching Americans literally fighting and dying in the streets of Minneapolis to protect their immigrant neighbors from a fascist pogrom and choosing to focus on “gun violence” as an abstract issue to solve by disarming those same Americans.

Oh. 💔 My wife and her dad both knew Alex Pretti from the VA Hospital where he was a nurse. “Gentle and such a good listener.”

OK, this is wild

Throngs of people arriving in every direction, signs, cars honking, wave after wave of protesters

…at the NEIGHBORHOOD TRAIN STOP. I’m not even downtown yet.

Secretary of DHS openly lying. Here's something from the website of the FBI. You know, the people she's lying about having exclusive jurisdiction. Saying that they do not "take over" investigations.

@Nycto update: I’m username Jjarro, now have all the high scores. I guess I wasn’t bad at it after all. My advice for when I was stuck would be “prioritize gaining and learning new capabilities over getting upgrades”

@Nycto I don't know if I could like... sideload an additional copy or something?

What happens if you add the same game from multiple sources, I wonder...

@Nycto I got past it with not only the fire but also the explosive and FURIOUS INCANDESCENCE arrows, which I have renamed in my head. I had been over-investing in stat upgrades, following the logic that I should buy the most expensive things I could. Instead, filling out my base level stuff helped! It still wasn't easy but it only took a few tries.

② Play as an archer in a tower, fending off waves of enemies in: The Long Arc. Use the crank to pull back your bow as you battle knights, wraiths, skeletons, golems, and griffins.

@Nycto I cannot for the life of me get past the introduction of the flying sorcerers-ghosts or whatever they are. It feels like a really sharp spike in difficulty. Do you have any tips for me? I'm using the crank to draw, not to aim (only ergonomic way to play the game, for extended periods, though I prefer some things about crank-aim) and trying to make sure I have triple arrow, poison arrow, and repulse. Those skeletons just behind the shoulder of the hill are brutal!
Okay @Nycto, first of all, The Long Arc is a masterpiece, and really inspiring. Secondly, I am apparently not very good at it.
