@penfount I have been waiting for this.
So, for context, I am from India, and TR, Clairfontaine, and Rhodia are prohibitively expensive to be used regularly.
For general use- notes, studying, etc, I use the Camlin Premio 64 GSM paper. FYI, Camlin is a subsidiary of Kokuyo.
For journalling/diary, I have a Factor Notes notebook with proprietary 80gsm paper that seems uncoated, and yet is fp friendly.
The best paper I've used is a Nakabayashi notebook. Excellent. Recommended whole heartily.

@penfount IMO it should continue. It works very well as a conversation starter and I am sure there are people like me who may not have a conversation starter but would like to converse anyway (about Fountain pens). And twice or thrice a week would give it space to grow into a nice discussion due to there being more time to participate.

@penfount oh my cheapest stunner is the Kanwrite Desire. No doubts. Punches waaaay above its weight in writing experience.
Expensive dud- Nahvalur Original Plus. The stiff and downright weird Bock nib induces sorrow.

@westerling umm... for my usage its just black-green and dark green .. I haven't seen any browns. Maybe there's a difference in the paper you use.....

@westerling i too have started to use a green black at the office recently. My pick for now has been the Diamine Salamander. I love how it looks :)
