Established jargon or not, it's time for those who write for the public about AI and large language models to abandon the term "hallucinating". Call it what it is. Bullshitting, if you dare. Fabricating works too. Just use a verb that signals that when a chatbot tells you something false, it is doing exactly what it was programmed to do.

Feds are seeking 7 years for Riley Williams, the young seditionist who stole Pelosi's laptop.

Her family says she's learned her lesson and just wants to be a good Christian mom who homeschools her kids and raises sheep.

She was "surprised" to be detained prior to sentencing, despite repeatedly violating the terms of her release.

One violation was meeting a guy who was plotting to shoot up a synagogue.
