International law has been a joke for a while, from the top of my mind, USA bombing China embassy in Belgrade. Evo Morales plane was denied access to France, Spain and Italy and forced to land. UK denied passage to Assange in diplomatic vehicles. Israel bombing Iran consulate and now Ecuador invaded with the police Mexican embassy to kidnap the opposition former vice president. All these were western allies btw.
