The Void wants treats...
tho i think it still took someone posting about it rather than me noticing it on my own
except for the A in factorio logo, that's definitely an amogus

i don't even play factorio and i still see an amogus
it's like when everyone sees amogus in random shapes and i usually don't notice it until pointed out... but instead i see amogus in random words
misreading famous as amogus
Misskey is not safe from this, btw

like why is the image so small when you're trying to write alt text? at least it's there but it's only really a preview

I'm getting really tired of alt-text entry UI just assuming you can remember multiple lines of text and enter it perfectly. Some of us have brains that don't work, put the text entry NEXT TO the image, not on top of it!

To cultivate a healthy Fediverse circle, it is imperative you have at least 4 of these:

  • Gay furry
  • Trans lesbian girl
  • Chill white cis guy named "Harold"
  • Incomprehensible system of 27 people
  • Eldritch robot (that is also gay)
  • Black dude who posts about stuff he finds cool
  • The swaggest trans man you have ever met in your life
  • Aroace dude with a cool special interest
  • Non-binary Wild Magic Condensate from the Stars
  • That cool woman doing art with fiber
  • fox.

A reminder for anyone questioning their gender, especially with questions like: "Am I trans?" or "Am I non-binary?":

Focus on what you would like to do, then work out the label(s) later

You don't need to have it all figured out up front, and it's okay for your concept of self and goals to evolve over time.

Terms like trans, non-binary, agender etc. are all descriptive: NOT prescriptive.

@SleepyCatten very good advice - and indeed good not just for anyone questioning their gender but more generally.

Don't obsess over a label or categorisation.

Just get on with whatever it is to the best of your ability, needs and desire.

If I stopped doing stuff in my life every time I didn't know the correct 'label' for something, I'd have gotten a lot less done. Whether that's in work or personal life.

Output/achievements matter, labels... not so much.

@SleepyCatten When I realized I didn't match my birth gender, I first decided that my gender wasn't important to who I was. So I worked on myself as a person and began to get to know myself. Once I knew myself well enough, I also knew that I was a trans woman. Getting to know yourself is incredibly important, interesting, and beautiful.
@SleepyCatten works also with orientation questioning it was one of the best advices i have received as questioning asexual.

@eowyn 🥰

Whilst we've still got a very long way to go, we're very happy that there's more awareness of asexuality (including grey-ace, demisexual etc.) these days and at least some decent representation, rather than pure misrepresentation by people outside the community

@SleepyCatten We benefited from claiming nonbinary early, as permission to excuse ourselves from binary expectations while we figured out what we do want. Which I guess while going against the letter of this post, is still quite in the spirit. Do whatever gives you the space to explore :3
