I like computing and reading. I like lots of other things too, but I dedicate an inordinate amount of time to those two.

@pervognsen @foonathan most languages I've used introduce a new variable in this case. That seems like a reasonable choice.
@alfredbaudisch I don't sadly. It used the acme color scheme and had something like italic for params, bold for methods and class names, italic underline for fields, bold underline for static fields
@alfredbaudisch back when I was using intellij, I created a custom theme based on the one in @robpike's acme. It only highlighted strings and comments in different colours. The rest was semantic highlighting in a combination of italics, bolds and underlines. Granted, I may have taken it a bit too far with the underlining, but C# has a lot of scopes :)
Conservatives are always saying "beware of people with pronouns in BIOS". Jokes on them, my computer uses UEFI firmware!

British doctors' associations have condemned the suspension of Dr Sarah Benn from medical practice, which was done for no reason except that she was convicted of protesting against government policies that endanger human health. There is no reason whatever to think that she has become incapable of properly practicing medicine.

The UK now claims that engaging in protests of civil disobedience makes one unfit to practice medicine. As a reason, that's absurd, but as an excuse for unjustified punishment of protesters it may fly.
