@seldo @jrconlin There are good YouTubers out there like ContraPoints. What I hate are the plethora of web dev YouTubers who are essentially just selling you various SAAS solutions without actually teaching you anything.

@daringfireball You’ve been expelled from my RSS feed. Free speech is free speech and using your position to call for the expulsion of students using their right to free speech is far grosser than anything they said.

@daringfireball This is a bad take. Should students have their opinions confront reality and understand where they may have erred? Of course. Should that ruin their careers? No.

The reaction to expel them reeks of an extreme “cancellation” view that has strong parallels with the extreme take on “violence” you criticize in your piece.

@swingerofbirch @daringfireball Yeah, unsubscribed from him after reading the expelled part. You can’t say you believe in free speech and then say students should be expelled for that speech. I’ve been following for over ten years, but I frankly don’t want his opinions in my feed anymore on any issue.

@siracusa it’s amazing that Elon told him that SpaceX was the only company that can launch unhackable satellites and Isaacson seemingly took it at face value and did no work to verify it at all.
