We counted 257 people at the meeting! There were 72 comments overall (58 anti-287(g)) over 2.5 hours! People spoke on the resource costs (MILLIONS a year), the culture of fear putting people in danger, and gutwrenching personal accounts (including from KIDS!!). Well done, everyone! #ICEOutForGood !
Jackson County's Sheriff signed 287.g deal last year to hold people in jail longer than normal -- so that ICE can disappear them later.

I know people are disappointed that there was no Jackson #ICEOutForGood protest. We're enraged at the murders. We're enraged that ICE is getting away with this. We want to do something with that rage, and we want to do it right here in Jackson.
So here's how we're gonna do it.
