@gruber Random, but: Thank you for Markdown. I've never thought to say that before, which is odd in retrospect, but Markdown is such a delightful way to express text, and it has been really transformative for all computer users.
I vividly remember getting my first MacBook and how much it inspired me to become a designer. Really cool to think about how many people who will get to know the Mac with MacBook Neo!
Been having Claude Code giving me "assignments" to help me learn a new (huge) code base and tbh it's working REALLY well. As a manager it's important I understand the technology my team builds, but I'm rarely writing much shipping code these days. I'm someone that learns by doing, so being able to plow thru a code base like a college CS assignment and by the end of the day have a solid understanding of how it works is a really cool use case!
@inket@christianselig reversible port, higher output by a significant margin, usb-pd such that charging is efficient, thunderbolt support, plugging over time wears the plug down, not the port on the device. Honestly lots more (feel free to use the internet), not sure if you’ve been living under a rock
@inket@christianselig ya’ll act like all usb-A cables support all the specs… they don’t, it’s even more likely to have a usb-A cable that transfers at 2.0 speed with 5w charging
