ALASCA is an association for open-source cloud infrastructure dedicated to the collaborative (further) development of operational open-source projects. We are laying the groundwork for the creation of a broad range of technological tools that enable the self-management of digital cloud infrastructures.
With a strong community, we are driving digital sovereignty in Germany and Europe forward in a sustainable manner—including through collaboration with other open-source initiatives.

Open-source is so much more than code. This year’s focus was on different community aspects, legal questions and the complexity around funding for open-source.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to represent ALASCA with our talk “Saxony in Action: Supporting a Lasting FOSS Foundation”, held by @Gerbsen. It was amazing to whitness the interest from the Open-Source community towards our association. 💚
