ALASCA e.V. is an association for open-source cloud infrastructure and our mission is the collaborative development of operational open-source projects. Through collaboration beyond projects, communities and countries we are driving digital sovereignty in Europe forward in a sustainable manner through creating a broad range of technological tools that enable the self-management of digital cloud infrastructures.

ALASCA was part of #DevDay26 in Dresden and it was a blast.๐Ÿ’ซ Our chairman, Marius Feldmann, spoke at the DevDay and gave the audience an overview of the ALASCA tech stack. The talk showed how our originally developed LCM Yaook has started a foundation, that has now grown into a broader, sovereign open-source cloud ecosystem. We walked through architecture, core components and integration patterns and took a look at the developing sovereign open source cloud ecosystem.

ALASCA

Our open-source project Seconlay, formerly known as SCL, is a minimal IaaS for strong client separation and was officially brought to ALASCA at the end of last year.

With a relatively small Trusted Computing Base and the strict separation of control plane and data plane, it was developed specifically for areas of application with high requirements. Seconlay was developed and open-sourced by our member secunet, who ultimately made the decision to give their project into the hands of ALASCA.๐Ÿ’ฏ

The ALASCA Tech-Talk No. 35 is now live on our YouTube Channel! ๐Ÿ’ช
