I'm a 30 y/o dude (he/him) who likes using #Linux and to #Tinker in general. I also help cut down on e-waste by personally hoarding it all. I also dig #Anime and #Music.

By day I work in agriculture and by night I Dunning-Kruger myself into being a sysadmin for various self hosted things. I'm always down for a chat and I enjoy helping people new to Linux, don't be afraid to say hi!

Yeah so I'm switching back to Mastodon. It's missing features but shit just works. It's a permanent move because I'm tired of manually re-following people (admins cannot migrate).

@gamingonlinux @firecat It's almost like they don't realize that literally every single stat we get for % of Linux users comes from website visitor data or steam and that every single one of the methods is unreliable unless we start adding trackers to Linux installs which wouldn't go over that well.

@Jessica I actually do own a KDE community edition Pinephone. I tried using it as a daily but it wasn't very reliable at the time. Maybe it's changed but the hardware is so gosh darn slow.

I do daily my old and trusty OnePlus 8T running LineageOS and fdroid though. Next phone is probably going to be a pixel running one of what you suggested most def.

@Jessica Oh wow. I remember when the pre orders first came up. I'm an avid Linux supporter and at the time I was working a garbage retail job but I was willing to put 2 weeks worth of paychecks down as a preorder for the phone. I'm sooooo glad I didn't pull the trigger in retrospect.

@Kaylee Eh. I actually had quite the hearty laugh at the absolute absurdity of the situation. Decades of internet has steeled me against such things. But still, stuff like this shouldn't happen regarding a dumb game of blocks and the kid is perma banned so idk what he was trying to achieve in the end other than to bait me into a reaction.
