Every time a podcast says “or wherever you get your podcasts” I feel a little thrill of pride that any one company hasn’t been able to take over.

Glenn, one of our Slim Framework contributors, has posted an example local Docker environment showing how to set up a load-balanced Slim app with a Redis for session handling. Worth a look.

Apart from Resident Evil 4 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it looks like 2023 might see the Switch being my primary console for a while. I'm looking forward to playing Advance Wars 1+2, Metroid Prime Remastered, Octopath Traveller II, Fire Emblem Engage, Triangle Strategy, Mario + Rabbids Spart of Hope, and Tactics Ogre: Reborn. And the GB and GBA games, particularly Golden Sun and the Zelda games.

People think getting old sucks but disposable income for gaming is a big plus.

The tool that we've been working on for the last year+ at Sym is now open for anyone to try! If your company has solved identity but still struggles with mountains of authorization & access approval requests:
1) You're in good company, and
2) That's the whole reason we built Sym.

Sym lets you easily express complex authz workflows using Terraform and Python and use them via Slack. I'd love for you to give it a try and let me know what you think!

Please don't ask for a code review if you didn't want for a code review.

If all you wanted is to go through a Jira process ballet because there's a "review" column, perhaps you may want to check that process instead...

This is my personal number one recommendation for interacting in an OSS project:

Excellent talk by Martin Hickey on getting started with an Open Source project. Excellent points, including how important culture-fit is. #SOOCon23
