Got my performance review today.
Positive feedback: literally every member of my team says I'm the best manager they have ever had. I solved multiple long-standing problems the team has been dealing with for years. Team members feel safe to share their struggles, everyone feels empowered, everyone receives valuable feedback.
Negative feedback: I am not enthusiastic enough about AI.
Overall ranking: 3/5.

Anyone hiring for a fully remote team lead?

Two years ago at #WasmIO I talked about (at that time) experimental support for #Wasm in #SwiftLang. Today I'm back on stage with @katei to present what's new in now official Swift for Wasm! If you're attending, I'm happy to chat in the hallway track

@icanzilb oh, those are nice shots! 🤩
That season in Munich when it’s cold in the morning and you wear a winter jacket, but almost like summer after lunch and you can just walk in t-shirt.
@joschi one thing to point out it’s weird release in terms of GPU—they have powerful new B390 and B370, but only for 4 processors (highlighted bold on picture). If you still want to play a bit or do some gpu intensive work (or at least have a future proof device)—aim for them, reviews mention you can even play latest games in 1080p.
@joschi not quite related to laptop choice, but think now it’s better to wait until new Intel Panther Lake laptops will land soon—seems on par with M CPUs from Apple.
