Apparently I make autonomous things on YouTube now? In my “build a ferret rescue” era.

Bringing back #Influential to Android
A full #homescreen made with #Angular, yep a #WebBased #Launcher powered by #BridgeLauncher
Unlike other launchers, you can pretty much make your own launcher, I did fork the project available in my Github Repo - https://github.com/paraskcd1315/bridge-launcher-fork/tree/statusbarinfo
And the influential angular project is available as well in github

It's like @akamatchstic 's #XenHTML but for android and doesn't even require #rooting or #jailbreak
I am so happy with how this folding ladder came out! Yeah the folded state looks a little whack but that’s ok, it’s only so we can move it for cleaning #diy

Underneath everything is the reservoir and filter system

I snagged a 140L storage box with wheels at a 70% discount, and fitted it with a drainage tap + quick connect inlet.

I’m using brass quick connects everywhere I can, to make my future jobs easier 😂

The filter is gravity based - water enters at the top, through a nylon screen to remove ferret 💩, and then through a typical pond filter. This then goes directly into the reservoir and gets cycled through the system again by the pump

Apparently my update didn’t post 🙃

Finished the topcoat, and setting everything up! First test of the motor went well, but on a subsequent test it conked out and now the impeller doesn’t spin… might be time to check eBay for a replacement! #diy

I regularly depend on a piece of software (the development of which I helped to fund, but) which has been shelved by the author.

It works, I use it to power our television network.

But it has a few flaws and paper cuts that I'd love to see get addressed.

I dont personally have the time to fix these things right now, I'm doing too many other things and most of them do not involve writing code.

Are there any #Rust devs in the fedi who want to take on a couple of bug fixes and a feature request for the latest version of ffplayout? Take a look at the code, send me a quote, if I can afford it I'll gladly pay it.

I'm retired in the sense that I was tired yesterday and am tired again today.

After Monday’s “resin in the eye” situation, I thought it best to do safety first 😂

Evening’s work was to sand down the fibreglass, especially around the bits where I cocked up. Got a topcoat to go on next, which I’m hoping will fill and seal the remaining gaps

Turns out my attempt at preventing the ply from soaking up resin didn’t work well on the sides, and had a few spots that didn’t laminate properly #diy

Fibreglass is officially on my “not fun job” list 😂

Got mostly done today, but tired now and need to stop. I’m using a “GRP roofing kit” for this, with 600gsm matting. The deeper pond end has two layers of that.

I did a layer of resin directly to the plywood, to prevent it soaking up resin later on and leaving a dry layup #diy

Overheard the cashier in my local Co-op talking about the recent ransomware attack. Very odd to hear tech being discussed in the same context as someone buying cigarettes!

Only have the half width panel to go! I’ll need to cut back a tree and slice a gravel board to fit before framing, and have a suspicion I haven’t got enough feather edge🙃

Overall though? I am very happy with the end result! #diy
