@RabMusicLab hi - loved this re-working of my field recording.🙂

Someone will know this. What’s behind the trend of talking on your mobile by holding it out from your face at a geometrically perpendicular angle? Is holding the phone to your ear too 2022, does it sound better at the far end, or are we just in the mass speakerphone era?
@antinomy I have the same phone. Do you store a lot of videos on it? I thought the 64GB was filling up, until I found many GBs of podcast subscription downloads that I’d forgotten were there. Cleared them and freed up LOADS of space.
I plan to keep the phone for a few more years and will replace battery if need be. I’ve had glitchy charging and put it down to (in my experience):
1) charging port needs need lint cleaned out very regularly.
2) aftermarket cables often no good.
@blogmywiki “no, I wasn’t at a party with real people. The photo proves they’re not real people as their pixelated heads reveal them to be merely virtual”
Would be nice to be wrong, but I think we’ll get to the end of today and Boris Johnson will be exactly in the same place (whatever that is), and nothing will have changed.
£3,999 for a cargo bike?! How a new kind of class politics arrived on Britain’s streets

There are two kinds of people pedalling those ungainly bikes you see everywhere – and only one can afford the price tag

I can only assume food companies intentionally use these jars to infuriate by preventing us from getting the last scrapings out. A hooked-shaped knife needed, I think.
You can blame the weather and Brexit. But there’s more to the UK’s food supply crisis

The empty supermarket shelves aren’t just a blip. They’re a symptom of a dysfunctional system
