Apparently there are ongoing repercussions from a comparison I made some time ago between TERFs and pubic lice.

My only regret is that TERFs’ metabolisms keep going if you drench them in dimethicone.

reminder that many many movements that have been effective at changing Really Bad Situations for the better had both a large, mostly nonviolent movement as well as a radical wing that made giving in to the demands of the nonviolent group seem like the Least Bad option

it is possible to force the hand of electoral politics but only by embracing actual tactics and not being a little bitch about other people choosing a tactic that you don’t like

the movement needs the radical wing and the radical wing needs the movement because they give credibility to the threat presented by the other group:

the radical wing’s “we’re going to burn shit down unless you do what we say, look at all these folks we’re halfway to radicalizing already” and the movement’s “we are prepared to mobilize for this issue and who can tell when our patience will run out” reinforce each other

if diversity is our strength then why aren’t we employing it, lol
