if you are not used to it you will have to learn it… that goes both ways…

and all the functionality you need were already in normal initfiles, cron and rsyslogd

my main issue with systemd always has been, that it centralises stuff that does not relate to each other into one single program instead of keeping it seperate and as simple as possible

i would even go further… if you are not one of the biggest 10 countries you NEED nuclear weapons now

the problem with introducing stuff like that at random is, that it may break A LOT in production environments

and even the “original banana-flavour”-banana is still around, the kind is called “grand michel” and can still be bought, but is no longer suitable for mass farming (due to some fungi/bacteria vulnerability)
