@tivasyk @[email protected] Fair enough. As it stands, there's a war in Sudan. It barely gets any coverage on the global news. Mozambique is also stuck in an unofficial civil war. Same for Cameroon and parts of northern Nigeria. Libya has become a basket case following the "intervention" of NATO. My point is that Africa should not be used as the red herring about narratives that suggest that the possible Russian blockade of Ukrainian exports through the Black sea impacts Africa.

@tivasyk @[email protected] Nigerian here. And to be honest, we don't give a damn about the #Russia, #Ukraine war. And honestly why should we? A lot of the wars in Africa has always had the hands of the Global north. We have more pressing issues than be bothered about two more developed countries having a go at each other. Our priorities should be about developing our local economies and industries to the point that we aren't depending on the global North

@tosinXpert I came across #mastodon when we banned #twitter. It does scratch an itch as it's sort of niche. I like that my TL contains only stuff that I'm interested in as opposed to algorithm content on twitter and jaga jaga content on #threads . Prior to that I had stumbled across a software called #diaspora* which is supposed to be a Facebook alternative. If you are into #instagram there's a fediverse alternative called #pixelfed. Are you into tech? As I see you are a content writer.
