If you’re not white, or you have friends or loved ones who aren’t white, or you’re not a total sociopath and therefore care about fellow humans who aren’t white, you need to understand this regime thinks not being white is inherently suspect, and lots of your fellow Americans are fine with that.

Note that the administration’s claim of a 700% increase in assaults on ICE agents is likely made up mostly of incidents like this: claims that a 71-year-old citizen “pushed” a masked armed agent.

I’ve been thinking about a prestige series for HBO or Apple (better suited for them than Netflix or Prime I think) about the buildup to WWI. It’s such a great story on so many levels, and the modern series technique of flashbacks as backstory would work so well for it. /1

Dem Sens. Cory Booker and Alex Padilla introduced a bill that would require immigration enforcement officers to display “clearly legible identification.” It would also prohibit officers from wearing “non-medical face coverings.”

Padilla said: “We’ve all seen the videos: masked ICE agents in plainclothes and unmarked vans, grabbing people off the street. No more hiding.”
