@b0rk Didn't know about `git rerere`. Thanks for sharing! I suggest amending:

> use `--force-with-lease` when force pushing, to make sure that nobody else has pushed to the branch since you last fetch

to emphasize that fetching immediately before pushing this way defeats the protection of `--force-with-lease`. I've recommended this flag to less experienced developers eager to improve their Git skills, failing to make this gotcha crystal clear. On one or two occasions, it has led to lost work.

@sil I think they're saying you're sweet.

@chriscoyier My wife and I were in Portland this past weekend too! We went to Kizuki too (big fans!), and loved Blue Star Donuts. The buttermilk old fashioned donut was my favorite, but I also loved the orange olive oil, the apple cider fritter, and the lemon poppy.

BTW, there's a typo in your post: it's Blue Star Donuts, not Blue Start Donuts.

@b0rk While examining a merge conflict, I always have to take a moment to make sure I’m clear on which changes are `theirs` and which are `ours`, because the definitions flip depending on whether you are merging or rebasing.

Leave it to comedians to take a nuanced position drenched in empathy and compassion on an issue in which most pundits —mainstream and independent alike, from partisan blowhards to thoughtful intellectuals— feel compelled to pick a good side and dig their heels in.

If I think back to like, 10 years ago, the progression in the world of CSS has DRASTICALLY changed the way I build a UI for a website as a huge net positive good. Less code. Less images. Less clunky weird code. I really do not feel the same way about the advancements in JS UI libraries. I really don't think there has been a net positive good. Drastically different? Yeah, sure. But drastically BETTER? No, I don't think so.

Do you want to help out to make Single Directory Components stable 🧭? Here there is a template issue you can clone to refactor tiny parts of Umami to use components.

https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3364673

[META] Create Single Directory Components for the Umami theme

Problem/Motivation As part of our roadmap to stable ([#3345922]), we want to include some Single Directory Components into Drupal core's front-end facing themes. Let's have this issue to track all the efforts in this direction. Ideally, we'll have one issue per attempted component linked as a children to this one. Instructions Create a new issue for Drupal core with the title: Create new SDC component for Umami (name). Make sure to change name to the actual component's name. Paste the Component Issue Template, and fill in the specifics about the chosen component.
