He/him, 40yo, live in regional Victoria (Australia) and work in software sales. Interested in things I mostly prefer to keep off this account b/c of bad vibes, like auspol and the media business. Trying to live as lightly as I can. Dad of three.
@jpm I could cop the train replacement bus, if not in January then when, but taking me to watergardens instead of the city is going to take a while...
Took our car 40km away from the usual commute for servicing, am now on a train-replacement bus back to my own train line to swap to a metro train carrying two lines' worth of passengers to work. Highly efficient return to the office.
@pj this is the photo I took (illegally from behind the wheel) as I heard you say " take a photo and post it to the fediverse" earlier today. I am in central Victoria, a state in southern Australia which is currently on fire in various places, but not here.
@thewetmale @MattHatton @coolguy69666 hi, still around and good to be here despite the circumstances. Thinking of everyone who loved Geordie and his posts.

@Molk They won't think it important for a long time, but I hope that his wife, son and parents know what respect he had from the communities that encountered him
@Molk It is odd to say it, because I didn't really know him, but from the quite good view I got from following him here and in the other place, I considered him an ideal human being. He was so smart, and good at expressing that smartness, and clear-eyed about what is important in life.
@dannolan @evcricket there are so many folks who are feeling devastated but his poor parents
Call me picky but wearing a belt made of gelignite doesn't appeal, no matter how sore my back is
@virtualwolf @liamvhogan I'm team Liam on the controls being crap but will agree that is not bad.
