(That I have to say β€œwas” is fucking galling.)

He was whip smart.
He rightly and decisively punished fools that crossed his online path.
He was deeply compassionate.
He could cook up quite the storm in the kitchen (and was very proud of doing so for his loved ones).

He loved his wife and son as close to completely as someone can.
He was only ever encouraging and generous to me, and I valued every moment we got to hang out and talk (IRL & on the line).
He would want to deflect absolutely every bit of this praise.

He is with his Creator, and he is at peace.
He will be deeply missed by those that loved him, and those that he considered/considered him a friend.

@Molk It is odd to say it, because I didn't really know him, but from the quite good view I got from following him here and in the other place, I considered him an ideal human being. He was so smart, and good at expressing that smartness, and clear-eyed about what is important in life.
@aerohead without any sense of cliche he was indeed lightning in a bottle.
@Molk They won't think it important for a long time, but I hope that his wife, son and parents know what respect he had from the communities that encountered him
