Without ruby.social’s local timeline, I wouldn’t have seen @george’s proposal to add project-scoped refinements to Ruby (https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/19277) and then @matz linking it to a recent proposal to add package importing: https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/19024
