New book! “Tahara Manual of Practices” on the Chevra Kadisha (burial committee) of Bridgeport CT. Tahara is ritual preparation of a deceased’s body. Their minhag includes sharbelach (placing broken pottery over the deceased eyes & mouth) but not gepelach (resurrection forks). It refers to gepelach as “sticks”
