What a ludicrously broken society we have, that a woman exposes what every woman experiences with unwanted, creepy, unapologetic, physical contact in public transport from all sorts of men, and somehow she is now in jail for exposing it...truly one of the worst countries for women

World needs to boycott the World Cup and the Olympics in the US with even more gusto than they did with Qatar. It is currently literally a rogue state that has actively armed a genocide for over 2 years, protects genocidal monsters, and is trampling over human rights & intl law

I strongly believe that the increasing financialization of tech has caused much of its awfulness over the past decade.

People came into tech to get rich, not engineer cool stuff.

It is amazing and wonderful to watch VC culture collapse in real time on Twitter.

I've basically given up on football completely, whether it's the world cup corruption or the idolising of players who have committed SA...

But seeing that man brings back all the memories of joy and love for the game that I had for over 20 years before I got to this point...Sigh

Damn...Seeing pictures and clips of Arsène Wenger back at the Emirates just made me experience a wave of nostalgia for the beautiful game that I haven't felt in months...

Not even Messi being confirmed as G.O.A.T made me feel that especially given I didn't watch the world cup at all

#JohnMastodon is proof that things *CAN* go viral here on Mastodon, but the key is that *YOU* are the algorithm. The reason that the John Mastodon meme showed up on other people's timelines is because so many users boosted the posts.

The lesson here is: please don't just favourite something if you really enjoyed it; BOOST it so that other people can enjoy it, too! This is the only reason why I bother to create as large a social graph as I can on Mastodon—to act as an amplifier. You can, too!❤️😉

I'm not planning to change my Twitter username from "Evan Greer is on Mastodon," which apparently may or may not violate Musk's latest anti-speech policy of banning promotion of alternative social media sites so...

...getting banned on Twitter feels like it's a matter of when not if at this point.

Can folks give this a boost so others here can find me? Time to rebuild!
