#appletv and extremely amused that Idris Elba apparently has no idea that you can bring your OWN washbag on a flight š
Ughhhhhhā¦. I think I have whatever Ferris Bueller was pretending he had
Iām sorry, but journalism in this country is shit. A shooting in the middle of Sydney this morning and every news report is contradictory on very basic facts, like which council area this occurred in (not hard if you are actually reporting and not just scrolling through Twitter), how many people were involved, and if someone died or not. If you donāt know, donāt report it as fact.
This looks like one of my constructions in
#TOTKNice article about the Teslafication of the automotive industry, and how the #OceanGate disaster is an object lesson in how "move fast/break things" is a poor philosophical fit for any product that can, you know, easily kill people.

We All Live In A Carbon Fiber Submarine
The implosion of the OceanGate submersible Titan, thousands of feet below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, has unleashed a lot of discourse, as these things tend to do. Much of it is little more ā¦
E.W. NiedermeyerI watch the news and I really wish someone would cut through the disingenuous bullshit and just say āWe are not investing in initiatives that impact climate change/equality/long term benefits to society because we are old white dudes and this will not directly affect us personally, or our bottom line, in the next five years, so we donāt actually care.ā It would be refreshing.
Does anyone else habitually sing āWest Necludaā to the tune of āWest Virginiaā while playing
#totk? Just me?
I think the biggest difference between Sydney and Melbourne is that most people in Sydney only talk about home renovations/prices/purchases/lack thereof and it is incredibly, utterly, soul destroyingly boring.
Iām watching a documentary on Netflix called Victim/Suspect about women being convicted of falsely reporting assault or rape in the US and I am enraged (like headache-inducingly) and horrified. Have to say, I am glad the law here in AU is slowly but surely catching up with some of the loopholes that let this happen in these US states. Good doco though but I am ANGRY AS HELL
#blackmirror S6 is so good. Iām into episide 3 and have loved all of them so far, especially Beyond The Sea. Charlie Brooker is honestly one of the best writers of all time. Thanks,
