You think Muslims are pining over a monument? A simple mosque? Then you have missed it completely.

The day Babri was demolished, Muslims had to just watch.

Then they were attacked all over the country just to satisfy the bloodlust of the majority.

They were ghettoised, viewed as terrorists, they were killed every day!

The Hindu Terrorist BJP supporters you voted didn't even spare an 8 yr old child!

It was never about a mosque. It was about your need to kill innocents for 20 yrs

One of the assignments that my sociology professor repeatedly gave (despite no one doing them) was to map the different counties of the world based on the natural resources they had in abundance. He wanted us to recollect and relate those names whenever the USA went to war.

In substance, the court has said that might is right, and has laid down a dangerous precedent sanctifying aggression.

Here Justice Katju asks pertinent questions and put forth solid arguments.

The Ayodhya Verdict is Based on a Strange Feat of Logic

It is foolish to think the Supreme Court’s decision will bring about communal peace. Appeasement, like the Munich pact of 1938, only whets the appetite of the aggressor.

"After the partition of 1947, the demolition of the Babri Masjid by political vandals was India’s greatest tragedy.

The Ayodhya verdict says this demolition was illegal, but in the same breath sanctifies it.

Well done, My Lords!"

says Justice Katju

He laments that "The recent Ayodhya verdict of the Supreme Court will go down in the annals of Indian legal history in the same category as its 1975 decision in ADM Jabalpur vs Shivakant Shukla – except that unlike the latter, in this one there is not a single courageous dissent!"

"In this vein, it is foolish to think that the Ayodhya verdict will bring about communal peace. Appeasement, like the Munich pact of 1938, only whets the appetite of the aggressor."

Justice Katju cautions..

SC :
1949 : Placing idols was illegal act
1992 : Demolition of Mosque was illegal act
2019 : Establish a Trust, build Ram Temple at same place.

Majoritarianism is not democracy. It is a fast track to the end.
For the oppressor, equality tends to feel like oppression. That is the root of the right wing arguments like "Hindus are in danger", "Brahmins are the new Jews", "reservation destroys merit", "men's rights", "white nationalism", "public healthcare is bad" and others.
