Of course, a mere nap after submitting the first draft saw new ideas bubble to the surface about how to improve my writing. I suspect that it's not the power of the Nap (although I'm a fan), but the act of letting go that released the pressure of meeting a deadline and in so doing freeing my mind to start being creative again. Just got to that point where you physically can't look at your writing anymore, and sent draft 1 of my first article (ever) to my supervisors. I've worked the life out of it and am not happy, but I'm dead inside...
