I don't remember the novel Dracula being particularly gory, but a lot of Bram Stoker's short stories definitely were...I had to skip one in the collection Midnight Tales because it was too much even for me.
@NormBoyington Unfortunately right now I think I'm more the former than the latter.
I really hit a wall last week so I'm taking a week-long break. How do other self-published authors deal with #burnout ?
