@seananmcguire I love the "security theater" remark since that's exactly what it is. The perception of security to ensure that they keep their mandate to stay and annoy.
@rbreich LiveNation/TicketMaster is a bug player, but there are definitely other players out there as well in this space.
I'm confused by why we are trying to criticize the company for doing well and paying their CEO and leadership for their success.
This is how all business reward their leaders, make it a multi-billion dollar company, the CEO gets their cut.
I don't see us going after Tim Cook for Apple's success?
@lilmsmally There really is no age that you can't pick up an instrument. Given enough patience and practice, I'm sure it'll be an enjoyable hobby.
I have to no illusions of starting a new career in music.
@lilmsmally My daughter has been doing piano for a number of years and she's enjoying it. I've always enjoyed music and being able to play would be awesome.
For me, at least, taking the lessons helped because that gave a lot of foundation for me to start with and now when I see/read other information it makes a lot more sense and I can build on it on my own.
Nearly 30 years after failing to learn guitar and have tried to get back into it sporadically over the years, I made a commitment to learn it again this year and after a 12 week course, I'm so freaking excited to be able to play a number of open chords.
The thrilling part is that I know and remember what the chord shapes are. Now just practicing on making them faster.
My strumming almost sounds like a song. 😃
@howlinhobbit @Strandjunker Very valid points and I do agree that pointing fingers at a single group as the reason/key for all the issues is silly and useless. My concern with the state of politics right now is that it's so Us vs Them that there's no way for folks to bridge the ever growing divide. Also the amount of misinformation that's being brewed is just insane on all fronts.
@lilmsmally It might be a perfect storm of QB and O-line struggling and the coaching staff not knowing how to game plan with the group they have now. Patricia was a good D coordinator, but his time on O hasn't been fruitful. Running joke is that McDaniels fails in his 2nd HC stint at Raiders returns as the O coordinator and (poof) everything is fixed. 😃
@lilmsmally Yeah Zappe did well enough as a rookie, but he also made rookie mistakes. Jones getting sacked was definitely on the O-line (and you understood is perfectly) not providing the protection, but the issue is more widespread. Where are the hot routes to allow Jones to bail out? Where are the running plays to avoid the defense from bringing the heat all the time. The game planning is definitely off as well.
@lilmsmally Looks like #MacJones is going through a sophomore slump. Here's hoping to him figuring it out in the second half the season and giving the team a chance to compete well. The defense has been pulling our butts out of the fire throughout the season.
