McCarthy is spineless enough to go for this, which would be an absolute nightmare and make a default pretty likely.

We'll see if the less-crazy members cave on giving their Crazy Caucus key committee gavelss, which was reportedly their "red line" earlier.

@ConorMahood I'm a speechwriter and I'm always telling people that the cardinal rule is to read what you write out loud - record yourself if necessary - because the written word is very different from the spoken word.

@zack I've long said that Musk isn't actually that intelligent, he just knows the same esoteric knowledge every second year philosophy grad knows and uses it in ways that make his fanboys gush over how brilliant and profound he is.

@juddlegum He only responds to far right-wing extremist accounts that kiss his ass. Like his entrance into the Twitter Space last week, he only came in after his proxy Jason was getting destroyed, and then he bailed as soon as someone gave him slight pushback.

@brienneofsnark It's probably a safe bet that he's going to install a right-wing sycophant that will continue the platform's push to the far right while he screams about plausible deniability and "This is what you all wanted!"
