Tragically on March 20, we received news that Mr. Saad Al-Safi has passed away.
When we spoke to Fadel he told us, “My father had a severe heart attack on the last day of Ramadan due to the bombing of the house and not adjusting to living [with] rent or his children in tents, he would [return] to look at the bombed house and remain silent. When he had a stroke, he needed a heart operation and a stent, but the Imam did not succeed in the morning and [he] died.”

Across the country—in cities like Minneapolis and here in #Baltimore—we are fighting to protect our neighbors who are being kidnapped off the street by #ICE.
As advocates for #Palestine, we remember that it’s all the same struggle. The same tools used to surveil and kill Palestinians are already being used in the US for surveillance and mass deportation.
