@mmitchell_ai
what's actually frightening about this is the fact that ceos have absolutely no idea of what they are doing. i did not expect this to this degree in tech.

btw. had to google the thread as it somewhat did not expand here.

@martinruecker

@malwaretech
it looks a bit like the revenge of all the people who do jobs that are perfectly automatable and for complete lack of imagination aren't - like 90% of administration - on people who do creative jobs. like you see, you are also not needed. that this is based on a complete misunderstanding of what creative jobs involve is not surprising as it is brought forward by people who's jobs could be replaced by decision trees.
@Elmar_Iachi weil vermutlich möbliert.
@alicethwaite
however, the question of paternalism isn't solved by this either.

@ViolaB

@alicethwaite
it's probably not either/or like always. without private initiative there would be more starvation in this world. however, it's a scandal that the question if people living or dying depends on private generosity, even the generosity of states.
private spending on humanitarian issues does help, but these problems can only be solved by the state or even on the international level.
however, the question of paternalism isn't solved by this either.
@Mer__edith it's a rather wide held believe in the left that recessions are from time to time politically created to reign in workers. if one looks at politicians like magaret thatcher one can come to the conclusion that there is some truth in this.
@ViolaB
