Today's #FOSSFriday is @signalapp. I have been using Signal since they were TextSecure and RedPhone and it is by far my favourite messenger. Add to that the high priority they place on communication security/privacy and it is an easy recommend. I pushed many friends and family on to it and many of them have become advocates of it over other apps too.
I fear that this game manual is #nerdsniping me into learning #dosbox Mapper...
My #FOSSFriday for today is Gnome Disk Usage Analyzer or Baobab:

It is an excellent way to visualise your disk space usage and I believe is installed in Ubuntu by default. I first came across something like this many years ago in KDE with Filelight. There are also server equivalents like ncdu that are super helpful when you don't have a graphical environment.

Great to finally see @jonobacon in person at State of Open UK! If you are here and want to say hi, please let me know! #SoOCon24 #StateOfOpen
We just wrapped up the #UbuntuSummit in Riga. I have wanted to go to one since the early days when they were UDS, but never made it. Some great talks, but for me the highlight was seeing how much Ubuntu means to people outside Canonical

Maybe it would be best not to name your fire extinguisher company something that looks quite so much like 'CHEAP'?
LinkedIn now has a 'draft with AI' feature...
Is there an age that you are supposed to start throwing birthday parties for your hard drives? (It's a Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 for anybody interested.)
Nice to be back in Cambridge. @stephenfry did you know you were credited with saving Fitzbillies?
My #FOSSFriday for this week is Jellyfin (https://jellyfin.org/). Jellyfin is a brilliant, Free and open source media system that lets you self-host all of your media and access it with apps for the web, phones and smart TVs. I used a home theatre PC attached to the TV running MythTV for nearly a decade (starting back when TV was still analogue and needed encoding), but the convenience of having access from everywhere and properly integrated into the smart TV has been great.
