It ensures packages can't be spoofed, there's no longer a pre-shared-key and you get perfect-forward-secrecy.

If not all your client devices support WPA3 yet, you can try WPA2/WPA3 transitional mode, which will allow compatible clients to already use WPA3, while older ones will be able to connect using WPA2.
