@doculmus @leoncowle they do so by declaring Apple's irish corporation as a suplier, and "buying" products and services from there. So if I bought an iphone in the Madrid apple store for apple spain declares an income of €1000 in their books, plus an expense of €990 euros because they 'bought' that iphone from apple ireland. So there's no taxable profits in spain, just in ireland. So those tax breaks are just the tail end of a giant con they have been running for years and years

@doculmus @leoncowle You folks are missing a very important bit in this conversation.It's not just apple is getting a massive tax discount in ireland for their irish operations.The thing is that apple(and most big tech) has been doing something way more shitty:Apple has a subsidiary in most of the EU countries (apple retail spain, apple retail sweden,etc).Which should pay local taxes for their profits. But every single national subsidiary in the EU has been declaring close to 0 profits for years
