In the spectrum so bear with me. Life long Democrat.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

4) Repeat.

Don't let them get away with it.

Sorry to get political but schools should probably have books
The way to honor Tyre Nichols is to never stop fighting for justice, to never give up on reform and progress, and to hold fully accountable not only the murderers but the system that gave them the power and the implied permission to take his life so violently and with such evil purpose.

Thirteen years ago the Supreme Court decided corporations are people under the First Amendment.

Today, sold-out politicians block progress on all fronts to appease their corporate donors.

Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.

Next Thursday we'll be only 15 years out from #Y2038, the date when a 32-bit signed time_t rolls over. It is already past time to start planning for it. Many of the cars and devices sold today will hopefully still be functioning in 15 years, so should be certified now that they won't break then. Also, timestamps in the future (eg, expiration dates) will increasingly cross the threshold as we get closer.

I wrote a blog in 2019 which still applies today: https://www.akamai.com/blog/performance/preparing-for-y2038-already

I'm told Twitter employees were just walked out of its Singapore office β€” its Asia-Pacific headquarters β€” over nonpayment of rent. Landlords walked employees out of the building

Big Journalism is still largely unwilling to call things what they are. Today's example is the Washington Post's use of "vaccine hesitancy" to describe a movement that is based on rejecting science and evidence in favor of dangerous and, increasingly, politically motivated lies.

The people who reject vaccines are attacking their communities. They spread disease and death. We should recognize this, and say it out loud.

Growing vaccine hesitancy fuels measles, chickenpox resurgence in U.S.

An Ohio measles outbreak among unvaccinated children comes at a time of heightened concern about the public health consequences of anti-vaccine sentiment.
