@tubetime and some image manipulation because everyone I know who can create spicy photons have image sensors with columns and rows that are dead. So we will need to shift the board around a little to fill in the gaps. I think.
@tubetime I’m very interested in your technique for doing this. I have a very rare system that I would like to reverse engineer at this level (boop me at MTVRE if you want the details), and it’ll require this to do it. And some spicy photons 🌶️.

@firefoxwebdevs @jaffathecake Simple question: why would a company spend so much time and money on something as big as "AI integration" if it's ought to not be used anyway?

I mean, it's been clear that the public doesn't give a damn about AI in browsers, Microsoft is already pulling out its AI from certain tools for lack of interest, so why, seriously, why being so biased, why going so deep into sunken cost fallacy?

@240185 @firefoxwebdevs @jaffathecake

Firefox users are at this point either older people who started using it when their young family members got them off IE6 … or people using Firefox because it isn’t Blink/WebKit.

Neither wants investment in AI, and you’re not going to get market share by having it. You get market share by having a functionally superior browser that people want to switch to.

How do we get investment in that?

@firefoxwebdevs @jaffathecake

Unfortunately Mozilla asked twice for our feedback regarding the implementation of AI features. Twice, it was a resounding NO. Twice, Mozilla shooed away this simple 2-byte-length answer.

Why should we begin to trust Mozilla again?

@0x00string YOU CAN’T CUT BACK ON SILKSCREENS! YOU WILL REGRET THIS!

Because I felt bad for all the DNS people having to miss out on the joy of working with rsync, I started on a DNS resolver over rsync. It should be mostly functional already.

Feel free to try it out. The records appear as files, and the time is set to when the TTL will expire.

Wow. Say you're against Mozilla baking an LLM into Firefox and get dogpiled on Reddit.

Not really a surprise. So it goes.
