Since we didn't have Twitter or Facebook or Mastodon back then, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Houston newspaper suggesting that if Reagan felt like that, I'd offered him a wager - he'd sit in a garage with a car with the motor running, and I'd sit in a greenhouse full of noxious polluting plants.
