The answer to "Why hasn't anyone done this already??" is oftentimes "Because nobody had this idea, or time, skill, or balls for it".
So be the first one.

Average privacy and security fan stuck in the body of a front-end dev, with particular interest in decentralization and censorship circumvention. And cool stuff in general.
The creator of @JumpCutterExtension also I guess.
Working on @delta and @torproject's Snowflake nowadays.

@gtsadmin @daniel well I don't think that it's reasonable to expect that Google is purposefully displaying the wrong number of installs and reviews for Quicksy. One can also check Apple Store.
They do remove some VPN applications for Russian users and stuff, but I think that they would not be displaying the wrong number of users.
@daniel Alright alright. Nonetheless "half of Russia" doesn't sound realistic. You say this has been going on for at least a month? But Quicksy on Google Play is still at "10K+" downloads: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=im.quicksy.client
If you want to see an example of an app that really is used by a third of Russia, there is one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.oneme.app
@vitonsky Also a good point, something to keep in mind.
But there is always something that is both needed and not yet done.
