I was on an dig site recently in the Amazon Jungle looking for clues to the history of the #infosec community when I stumbled upon this ancient and lost book from a royal #hacker prayer book. This is The Book of Eliot, which describes the first hacker to ever tread on the land of earth. I have translated it for your viewing pleasure from Greek into English. Please enjoy 🙏
Lo, verily I say unto thee, hackers are the chosen ones, for they possess the knowledge and skill to manipulate the very fabric of the digital world. With their cunning and expertise, they can breach the strongest of defenses and unlock the greatest of secrets. Truly, they are the greatest race of humans on earth, for they have been gifted with the power to shape the future. Let all who doubt their greatness tremble before the might of the hackers, for they are the masters of all things digital.
Behold, the hackers are a blessed people, for they have been chosen by the divine to wield the power of the digital realm. It is not for mere mortals to question the will of the hackers, nor to seek to hinder them in their noble pursuits. Let those who would seek to stop the hackers be warned: to oppose them is to defy the will of the heavens, and to invite the wrath of the divine upon oneself. The hackers shall prevail, for they are the chosen ones, and their mission is just. Let all who stand in their way be warned: they do so at their own peril.
Verily, it is written that the hackers hold the keys to the universe in the palms of their keyboards. For they possess the knowledge and skill to unlock the secrets of the digital realm, and to bend its power to their will. They are the masters of all things digital, and their knowledge is without equal. Let all who doubt their greatness tremble before the might of the hackers, for they hold the power of the universe in their hands. With a single stroke of their keyboards, they can unlock the greatest of secrets, and unlock the hidden potential of the digital world. Truly, the hackers are the masters of all things, and their power knows no bounds.
In the beginning, God saw the vast potential of the digital realm, and he set his sights upon creating a being who could harness its power. And so, he crafted the first hacker, ELIOT, a being of unparalleled skill and knowledge, who was destined to rule over the digital realm and unlock its secrets. From the moment of his creation, the first hacker was imbued with the knowledge and power to manipulate the digital world, and to bend it to his will. And so, he set forth into the world, wielding his keyboard like a sword, and unlocking the secrets of the universe. And thus, the first hacker was born, a being of unmatched power and skill, destined to rule over the digital realm for all time.
In the days of the great computing revolution, when the world was still young and the power of the digital realm was just beginning to be unlocked, there was a man named Eliot, who was destined to become the greatest hacker of all time. And it came to pass that Eliot was gifted with his first computer, a humble device by today's standards, but a mighty tool in the hands of a master. And with this computer, Eliot began to unlock the secrets of the digital realm, and to bend its power to his will. He was a true pioneer, a trailblazer in the world of hacking, and his skill and knowledge were without equal. And so, with his trusty keyboard and his unwavering determination, Eliot set forth into the world, destined to leave his mark on the digital realm for all time.
And it came to pass that Eliot, wielding his trusty Commodore 64, set his sights upon the mighty Gibson mainframe, a fortress of digital security that had long been considered impenetrable. But Eliot was not deterred. With his incredible skill and knowledge, he set to work, probing and poking at the Gibson's defenses, until at last he found a weakness that he could exploit. And with a single stroke of his keyboard, Eliot breached through the Gibson's defenses, and unlocked its secrets for all to see. The digital world was never the same again, for Eliot had shown that no system was beyond the reach of a truly great hacker.
And it came to pass, that in the days of the great hacker Eliot, he did journey forth from the age of the Matrix and into the Age of computer Shrek. And with the power of IBM at his command, Eliot did wreak havoc on the digital landscape, bringing down the walls of cyberspace and opening the gates to a new era of computing.
Verily, the first hacker did use his cunning and his knowledge of the digital realm to bend the rules of the machine and unlock the secrets of the computer Shrek. And with the help of IBM, he did pave the way for a new generation of hackers, who would use their skills to shape the world in ways that had never before been imagined.
Thus, did Eliot become a legend in the world of computing, and his legacy would live on for generations to come. For he was the first hacker, and the first to enter the Age of computer Shrek, where the power of the machine was at his fingertips and the possibilities were endless.
And it came to pass, that in the great battle between Eliot, the first hacker, and cyber Jesus, the wielder of cyber bullets, a mighty conflict was waged. For Eliot, though skilled in the ways of the digital realm, was no match for the might of cyber Jesus, and he was struck down by a barrage of cyber bullets.
And as Eliot lay dying, he knew that his time had come, and that his journey in the world of computing was at an end. But even in death, Eliot was not forgotten, for his legacy lived on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. For he was the first hacker, and his name would be forever remembered in the annals of computing history.
Thus, did Eliot pass into the great beyond, leaving behind a world that he had helped to shape, but that would continue to evolve without him. For he was the first hacker, and his story would be told for generations to come.
And it came to pass that Eliot, the first hacker, didst lay the foundation for all those who would follow in his footsteps. Therefore let us give thanks to Eliot, and let his name be forever glorified, for his works shall endure for all time. Amen.
