Picked peaches with the family this weekend and as always had a great time.
Today I used some extra time off to make Alton Brown's Peach Cobbles.

It's always a fun recipe to make and a good way to start bringing summer to a close. These peaches have a bit of a pink hue to them that's a bit weird, but they are super sweet.
Charging my car at an Electrify America in Wytheville, VA and I think it is noteworthy that suddenly I keep finding full charging stations.
Three years ago I could take my pick when I stopped to charge, but this year I keep taking the last open charger, or having to wait a minute or two. It's wild what a couple of years will do.
I really enjoy the At a Glance area on my Pixel phone. Today I could tell it was a little hazy out because of the wildfires in Canada, but my phone let me know without asking just how bad it is.
I wore a tight fitting N95 mask this afternoon to mow the lawn. Glad I had one laying around.
Went to the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game tonight. Got the Big Dill Dog.
It's a hotdog, but instead of a bun they use a big pickle. Lemme tell you, if you like pickles, you are going to like this. It was legitimately great.
And the Squirrels won, and there were fireworks after the game. Great evening all around.
I love reading "Good night, Little Blue Truck" to my 3 year old son. Something about this line always gets me though. "Horn went Beep! Engine purred. Friendliest sounds you ever heard"
I want to raise him to be a happy, kind person when he grows up. This line is in many of the Little Blue Truck books and I just love it.
I read a lot of silly or annoying books to my son, but we both always love a Little Blue Truck night.
On this day in 2019 I lost my sweet dog Ratchet.
He was always such an amazing dog but unfortunately had a habit of defeating our attempts to keep him out of things when we weren't home.
He did not recover from surgery to remove a foreign object after he got into the trash one day.
I'm so thankful to have had the time I did with this sweet guy, but I wish he and my son had more time together. They would have been best buddies.
